The past few months I have been writing and posting articles for a media company called 8forty. During my time I have learnt many skills from run on sentences to learning on how to use commas properly, I have implemented all the lessons I have learned in to my writing over the past couple of months and it has made my writing better.
I was not the best at writing when I first started but over time my writing has improved, for example my first ever article for 8forty was Top Ten Christmas Movies to Watch in December it was a great start but there was a lot of improvements that I had to do to my first draft, The first draft had lots of errors like comma placement and sentence structure,  over time though I started to notice errors like these before I send it of to my editor. My second article for 8forty was Red Dead Redemption 2 is a hit and  huge improvement over the original. This article by far was my favorite to write, not only was it my favorite it is my most viewed article. I had to do lots of work though to make it enjoyable for people to read, it was much easier to write though then my first article because I had more knowledge and a better understanding on how to write a article for a media company like 8forty.
Pitch meetings have also made me think more and how to make topics more interesting. For example, my article Rainbow Six Siege Wind is a strong season to end out the year was originally was going to me talking about how the one of the operators where overpowered and ways they could fix it but I decided to make it more interesting and make a review about the whole season in general.
Not only have I learned to be more creative and make things interesting I have learned how to use images and avoid copyright by making my own images or going to google and using the tool and turn on labeled for reuse.
In the end I have learnt new ways to make my writing better that I can use towards future writing assignments and future articles. I will have better word choice and little to no spelling or grammar mistakes that I can use to make my writing more enjoyable for others to read.
